I was pleased to be interviewed for this Metro Edmonton article … the frail and elderly seniors frequently get much of the attention while family caregivers are often ignored and/or completely forgotten. While this news story focuses on Alberta’s caregivers, the issues remain very similar for caregivers living elsewhere as well.
Are you prepared for caregiving? Perhaps not! Please read my article in the Fall, 2014 issue of Wellness Magazine: http://www.wellnessalbertamag.com/family/are-you-prepared-for-caregiving/.
For the fourth consecutive year, I am very pleased to, once again, be participating in Strathcona County Library’s Words in the Park Book Sale!
Words in the Park takes place on Saturday, October 25th, 2014. Doors open to the public at noon and the sale runs until 4:00 p.m. that afternoon. The event takes place in the Agora at the Strathcona County Library, located at 401 Festival Lane, Sherwood Park.
Hope to see you there! Signed copies of my book will be available.
For the second year running, I will be participating in Edmonton’s Art in Our Park event (Saturday, September 20th, 2014 at James Ramsey Park) from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.. Please join me for an afternoon of creative fun and make sure to ask me for an autographed copy of “Caregiver’s Guide for Canadians”!
I am looking forward to returning to Indigo – South Edmonton Common (1837 – 99th Street) on Saturday, September 13th, 2014. Please drop in, say “Hello”, share your caregiving story and ask me for a signed book for you or a caregiver you know! I’ll be on-hand in between noon and 4:00 p.m..
Have books, will travel! Join former co-caregiver and author, Rick Lauber, as he heads to the Camrose & District Farmer’s Market on Saturday, August 30th, 2014 at the Duggan Mall (6601 – 48th Ave., Camrose from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.). Please ask Rick for a signed copy of his book, Caregiver’s Guide for Canadians!
With almost 15% of Canada’s population aged 65 years plus, chances are good that you will become a caregiver for an aging parent, friend, spouse or partner. Learn what to expect, how to manage and where to find help from former co-caregiver and author, Rick Lauber. Rick will be at Chapters – Southpoint (3227 – Calgary Trail, Edmonton) on Saturday, August 16th, 2014 from noon – 4:00 p.m. Ask him for a signed copy of his book!
Hoping for a good day on Saturday, August 09th, 2014! Please join me at Chapters – Strathcona (10504 – 82nd ave., Edmonton) from noon – 4:00 p.m. when I will be signing copies of my book, Caregiver’s Guide for Canadians. I’ll be happy to sign a copy for either you or a caregiver you know!
